First time I have used Brian for taxes and was very impressed with his thoroughness and time to sit down and discuss details of our files. We had Federal and three state tax submittals involved, with relocation expenses, personal business, 401K, rental property, and real estate sales involved. I can't even begin to say thank you to Brian he never made me feel stupid or incompetent, I came to him after trying to do all this tax stuff on my own and I failed!!!! But he was always in contact with me and made me feel like he was looking out for my best out come !!! I hope I never have to call on him again but if you are looking for someone who truly is looking out for your best interest he is the man!! I highly recommned him 100 %

I cannot say Thank You enough for Brian's knowledgeable, professional and thoughtful handling of my longstanding IRS issues. I spent the better part of ten years trying to find an attorney or CPA that had intelligent answers to my simple question, "how much do you offer in compromise" when you owe 62K. If you have a similar tax problem you have probably been through those advertising themselves as "tax masters" claiming to settle cases for fractions of the balance. I paid several firms their $500 assessment fees for information I basically provided to them. I was once told by an attorney that you offer an amount that "makes them take notice" and it depended on the IRS agents mood that day-this followed by asking for a 4k retainer to get started. It was clear he had never done an OIC before.After doing exhaustive research I found Onyx Tax and spoke with Brian about my problems. I learned about his years of experience and we started having him do my remaining two years taxes in preparation for submitting the Offer in Compromise. He educated me fully on all of the details and also was honest about how long the arduous process takes and the real expectations. Brian was an expert at both my standard yearly tax preparation and his years of OIC submissions. Beyond that, it was clear that helping me resolve my mistakes and move forward was just as important to him as his fees. It was a lot of work, but the IRS debt does not go away and having him speak with the agents and submit the detailed paperwork resulted in me saving $60,000. I owe the IRS $1400 (of course every situation is different). If you are in a similar position of trying to find someone honest, who will explain your options and the process in detail I cannot recommend Onyx Tax and Brian highly enough.
